Lanier 160/260
The Lanier 160 and 260 offer crisp, clear sound and a host of features,
like a pistol-grip microphone, one-button control, document queuing, telephone
recording and half speed recording. Additional features include automatic
recall, transcriptionist display and an optional foot control and headset.
Voice operated recording (VOR) automatically starts and stops the tape
when you start and stop talking, conveniently guarding against wasted tape
and missed words. An expanded display panel features a voice level indicator
for instant confirmation that you’re recording. And the “store recall”
feature lets you switch tapes for priority dictation without losing the
display information for the original tape. Lanier 160 uses standard cassettes,
while Lanier 260 uses microcassettes.

The Lanier 650 offers two hours of unattended continuous recording
time on four different microcassettes. When one cassette is full, the Lanier
650 automatically advances to the next available cassette and continues
recording. Work can be separated simply by directing specific types

Advocate V Recorder
Lanier’s Advocate V Electronic Recording System is tailored for courtrooms,
legal proceedings, and business and professional conferences. The multichannel,
continuous recording system uses a four-track process that can accurately
record four separate conversations on a single standard cassette. It allows
simultaneous recording and playback, recording up to six hours without
a tape change, the Advocate V operates in three different modes. In the
sequential mode, it records on one tape at a time, automatically switching
to the second tape with no loss of input. In dual mode, it records on both
tapes simultaneously. In duplicate mode it makes copies of tapes retaining
